A DHCP Request sent by a device can contain information about the device or the DHCP Client, and can contain requests for additional information from the DHCP Server.
When using DHCP on a device, a DHCP Client on the device sends a DHCP Request to a DHCP Server and receives back a DHCP Acknowledgment. This can simplify device administration by allowing network settings such as the device's IP address and default gateway to be configured automatically using DHCP protocols rathan than manually by the user or an administrator.
The DHCP Option Manager (DhcpOptionMgr) allows an app to configure options for Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) on the device.

The Android version is sometimes enough to determine a feature set. Some features require a specific pairing of MX and OSX versions. The MX Management System provides a uniform interface into privileged and unprivileged Android APIs on the device. The root OSX version number always matches the root number of the Android version that it extends. The OSX layer provides extensions to the base operating system to implement functionality not offered by Android. OSX, MX and Android version information for a device can be found in the Android Settings panel or by querying the device through ADB, EMDK or the MX CSP. To clear all selections press the SmartDocs button. "App Manager"), click forward and back buttons to scroll to the next and previous supported feature of that CSP (SmartNav is supported only on CSP pages, not on the feature matrix). With at least one version selected when viewing a CSP (i.e. Unsupported features will turn gray based on selection(s). Use drop-downs to select the OSX, MX and/or Android version on the device, and/or the device Type, which determines an MX feature subset.
